    A little background:

I am a Canadian going to study a 2 year LLB in York this September. I got a BA in Environmental Studies with GPA of A- (low 1st in UK). Also, I got on the Dean's Honours list for the last year of my BA. At the University of York, I hope to get a 2:1 or a first if I can.

    Here's the question:

Will I be able to get a good training contract in the UK, even though I am a Canadian, have a foreign BA, and a 2 year LLB and not 3 year LLB?

    Thanks

Yes Canada is part of the commonwealth which means you’ll be ahead of other immigrants but behind British Citizens. Though they won’t tell you that.

Well, at least I will have some advantage lol!

But will law firms care that I have a Canadian BA and a 2 year LLB, instead of 3 year LLB?
