# A-Level Maths watch

1. I need to expand binomially:

I know how to expand binomially. However, the textbook suggests that I do this one by writing the above fraction as I could do this question if I rewrote the fraction into the form the textbook mentions.

However, I don't understand why the fraction can be written this way. Could someone explain?

3. I still don't understand, i'm afraid. Why is the same as ?

Oh, wait. Can I cancel the two to give 1 and then the remaining fraction is ? I understand now, I think.
