Hey, I'm applying to Oxford soon to pursue medicine. I have the following a level qualifications and extra curricular.

    A Levels:

    A* Chemistry
    A* Biology
    A* Maths
    A Physics

    AS Levels:

    A Religion and Philosophy

    Extra curricular acheivements:

Gold blue Peter's badge ('very rare indeed'-BBC)
Grade 1 music practical and theory
    Extra Junior Hindi exam.
    Gold Duke of Edinburgh award

Are these good enough to set me apart from the crowd? My brother is currently in year 9 and he is also doing these extra curricular activites. If there is any additional extra curricular activity that can be done please add it below, I'll pass it on to him.

Hiya, I’ve received an offer for Law at Oxford so I might be able to help somewhat. Those are really good extra curricular activities to have, but they will definitely be looking for things linked to medicine. So any volunteering you can do at local hospitals, any extra reading etc will be what they’re really looking for. You need to demonstrate a real passion for the subject you want to go in to.

Those extra curriculars are largely irrelevant. As pointed out above, you will need some kind of medical experience. Also, what are your GCSEs like because Oxford medical students have a very high number of A* grades.
