    what do I do, I have booked a holiday with the school for 10 days to the USA and it's been booked for a year and a I have just found out that I'm missing an exam for drama xox

    What kind of exam? If it’s GCSE or A level then those are very important and shouldn’t be missed. When I was booking holidays I always ensured that all of May and June was off limits as this is exam time. In these circs if it was a GCSE or A level I would cancel your holiday.

    If your exam is an end of year exam then talk with your form tutor and perhaps they could rearrange the date for you.

    I think the problem lies with how the holiday is actually with the school rather than a family one

    I agree. Most schools open up a school trip holiday to all years but pro actively do not allow Year 11s 12s, 13s if the trip coincides with exam time and turn these pupils away if they ask to go on the trip.

    It really does depend on what year the OP is in and why the school trip organiser did not point out the trip coincided with exam time.
