I'm writing this as I hope someone who is reading this may take my advice and this may make their life easier in the near future.
I'm currently at RAF Halton and planning to leave the RAF because I have chosen the wrong trade. I changed trades back in August as I was super keen (and still am) to join the RAF, the reason for changing trades is because what I originally went for ceased recruiting, so I chose an 'Urgent' trade to get myself in the door faster. The entire time in the back of my mind I knew this was the wrong decision but my eagerness won and I stuck to it. Now I'm at RAF Halton, leaving the Air Force to reapply when I can to go with the trade I chose in the first place.
The moral of this story is pick the trade YOU want and stick to it. Even if you have to wait 6-9 months like I was quoted in your dead end bad job. Stick to it, because when you arrive at RAF Halton and everyone is buzzing to leave that place to go onto their dream phase 2 job, you won't be, and thats the challenge.
Good luck everyone. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask them below.

To everybody else, the cautionary tale here is that, yes, you can leave, but if you try to rejoin later; your name will have a black mark against it. That doesn't mean it's impossible, but you'll have to convince the recruiter that you're worth the investment, that you're not a waste of money for the taxpayer.

That I agree with. Luckily here I’ve got my recruitment office on my side as this is only 1/2 is my story. There is another 1/2 which is a family death. But in the end of the day, I just wanted boys and girls to make sure they’re 100% happy with their trades
