Thanks for posting guys! I don't really know many people who are going to Lancaster from my college, I went to the applicant day in Jan and they were quite sweet! Hahaha they gave us some nice food too! :giggle: I'm gonna firm Lancaster but I need to go to another uni's applicant day to see which one i'll insure

Well I applied to Uclan for computer security and forensics, leed Beckett for computer security and forensics, Lancaster for computer science, Lancaster for management and IT and Manchester for ITMB. For Manchester they cancelled the course so I had to withdraw which was a shame, otherwise I have all my offers. Wbu?

I applied to Newcastle, Cardiff, MMU, Lancaster and Leicester all for Computer Science and thankfully got all my offers. I was looking at the ITMB course like a year ago bit weird they cancelled it. Think i'm either gonna choose Lancaster or Newcastle so the applicant day should be good.

That's great good luck! I know apparently they had restructure the course content which is a bit of let down cuz I wasted a choice but it's alright I guess

Even though there's a lot of students, there isn't anything for them to do unless all the stuff happens on campus? the campus is about 15 minutes away from the city centre but there is literally nothing in between. The city consists of a high street and there's only really 5 shops worth going into, the rents so high that all the little local shops are driven out of business so you're stuck with just having shops such as: New Look, Topshop, River Island and M&S, so spoilt for choice! you're done with town in about 5 minutes and then you go home again. The clubs are alright i guess, there's only two of them, one plays *****y chart music and the other plays good songs but no one goes there until 4am when everyone's absolutely wasted. Oh, i guess there's the student night club but i'm not sure what that's like since its only for uni students but its a good way to socialise and they have a few special nights on once in a while.

I am going to Bath Spa uni this September but I've lived in Lancaster all my life (19 years) so i know what it's like to live here. It will be alright for some if you prefer small towns where the only thing to do is go to Wetherspoons (it's not even one of those those nice, modern wetherspoons) then you're alright, but if you're downgrading from places like London or Manchester then its going to be so boring for you
