'Leftists tend to hate anything that has an image of being strong, good and successful. They hate America, they hate Western civilization, they hate white males, they hate rationality. The reasons that leftists give for hating the West, etc. clearly do not correspond with their real motives. They SAY they hate the West because it is warlike, imperialistic, sexist, ethnocentric and so forth, but where these same faults appear in socialist countries or in primitive cultures, the leftist finds excuses for them, or at best he GRUDGINGLY admits that they exist; whereas he ENTHUSIASTICALLY points out (and often greatly exaggerates) these faults where they appear in Western civilization.'

Those who are most sensitive about “politically incorrect” terminology are not the average black ghetto- dweller, Asian immigrant, abused woman or disabled person, but a minority of activists, many of whom do not even belong to any “oppressed” group but come from privileged strata of society. Political correctness has its stronghold among university professors, who have secure employment with comfortable salaries, and the majority of whom are heterosexual white males from middle- to upper-middle-class families.

He has a lot of good points, you can tell he’s highly intelligent. I haven’t read the whole thing yet but i’ve skimmed it, it’s not hard for me to empathise with him.

Have you seen the netflix Manhunt:u:nabomber show?

dont have netflix
did you think the show is any good?

its interesting because the guy was so intelligent, so his argument is far more nuanced and well laid out than your typical 'modern society sucks' argument

I thought it was really good, it’s a much more objective view than you’d expect from such a famous case. It wasn’t “this is a monster and only a monster could do these horrible things” but they actually represented his point, a few times the investigators and the public agreed with points he made. Also an interesting insight into how behavioural analysis and forensic linguistics entered the FBI and how they were used to catch him.

Definitely worth a look if you can find it somewhere online!
I read some of it. He is slightly interesting as he is a serial killer with genuine intellect and intelligence. There are others who have high IQs, but none of them are intellectually nor educationally accomplished. There is no Hannibal Lecter in the real world, but the Unabomber is quite close.
