i’m in year 11 now and have picked my subjects for as level (history, law, sociology). however, i’m having seconds thoughts and believe i should really take another facilitating subject. the only one i don’t mind is geography (apart from history). i do it at gcse now and i don’t mind it. i understand the content but i find the actual exam questions tricky (i don’t know where the marks come from), but i feel like i can soon get my head round it. i never considered geography until now. i got a band 7 in my recent mock. what’s it like? how is it different to gcse? pros and cons? thanks!

Geography was my favourite subject at A level - I dont think the content is particularly difficult, but you will need practice in nailing the exam technique and questions. Seeing as you do history I think the writing bit for geography should be fine for you!!
