# Moments and forces further maths help watch

1. PICTURE IS BELOW i really need help for this question, specifically part (iii), I just dont know how to label the forces on that one.

for part (i) I got Reaction force at B = 3125N and Reaction force at C=1875N

for part (ii) i got M=302.04kg

thanks

3. Hint for part (i): the weight of the bridge acts at the centre of AD, which means 2.1m to the right of A and therefore 0.6m to the right of B.

for part (i) i got that the weight is 2.4m away from both A and D since the bridge is 4.2m.

for part (i) i got that the reacton forces of B and C must equal 5000N so the reaction force at B=3125N and the reaction force at C=1875N.

for part (ii) i got that M=302.04kg

what i really need help with is part (iii), i dont have a clue what to do with that one. if you could help me out with that then thatd be really great.

thank you

AD is 4.2m. Half of AD IS 2.1m. Therefore the weight of the bridge must be acting 2.1m (not 2.4m) from both A and D.
