    :awesome:

My partner has introduced me to the world of gaming. Well, specifically Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.

    I'm hooked.

I've watched him complete most of it (main quest is finished, Hearts of Stone done, now on Blood and Wine), and now I am doing my own version of it. Just got into Novigrad. :awesome:

The music is stunning, the visuals are gorgeous, the characters are amazing...I can definitely see why it was voted Game of the Year in 2015, it's amazing, and I am so sad we will not get a Witcher 4. :cry2:

But the TV show revival should be good, huh?

Have you played it? What has been your character endings?

Bloody love Witcher 3, it's up there as one of my all time favourites. What you could consider doing is upping the difficulty to the highest (if you haven't done so already) so you're forced to use stuff like potions and decoctions to prepare for monster contracts like a real witcher. Or not, I mean the story is good enough to be enjoyed even without these gameplay elements that I think are quite overlooked sometimes.

I enjoyed Blood and Wine a lot. It's such an expansive DLC, it really sets a standard for other game developers.

I'm not very good at killing things, tbh  It's weird, give me a wild dog or humans, and I'm good. But drowners? Whoops. I'm just playing it for the storyline, honestly. I mean, I can just about use signs and oils  My SO is on the second hardest difficulty, and I think it will be a while before he will touch Death March.

Definitely, I'm in love with the Duchess, and last night we discovered the Hanse Bandit camps!

Triss, Yen, Shani, or no one? :holmes:

I've watched my SO play Shadow of War and Titanfall, and while they are decent, I just always want to return to the Witcher. Addicted, much?

    Fortnite is free.

If you like Witcher 3, you would probably love Skyrim, too. Absolutely legendary game. So much to do and so much fun to be had.

    About Shani.

    Spoiler:
    Show

Our friend Gaunter O'Dimm forced the "scene" in the game because he knew it would cause more suffering in the long term as Geralt and Shani would have to part ways again. The whole situation was just him messing around and toying with human emotions. I'd say she's kinda out of the question .

    Gotta say Yen.

    Spoiler:
    Show

Yen is Geralt's true love and Triss manipulated Geralt's amnesia to get with him .

Since I mentioned O'Dimm, I also just wanna mention.. Damn. Even though Blood and Wine is by far more expansive (other devs would release it possibly as an entire sequel), the story of Hearts of Stone got stuck in my mind for days.

We resisted all attempts very well, so nothing happened when we played. I say we; I mean my SO on the controls and me yelling at the screen

I know  But when my SO introduced me to the game, he was on the mission to deal with Junior, so Triss was my first seeing of Geralt's love interests...and I really like her. Kinda cause she is like me a little (minus the amnesia manipulative part, ofc ) and Triss reminded my SO of me (probs was the hair tbf) so we went with her in the end. So, Yen dropped Geralt in a lake. Yikes. :getmecoat:

You can take it out of first person. I only use first person for sniping people with my bow.

Got witcher but never really played it, I've never managed to get away from skyrim for long enough other than dicking around in GTA online (steal car, rob shop, drive down pier killing dozens, ramp stolen getaway car into ocean, steal speedboat, escape, hide until heat is off then repeat) and exploding everything in hitman.

Maybe we tried taking it out of first person? Idk. I'll try again. It's the SO's favourite game, after all

Ah, GTA, loved that as a kid :moon:

Ah well you see, I'm not proud of that one.

I got the middle ending. It takes being pretty much completely oblivious to get the worst ending, but the difference between the middle and good (witcheress) ending is more subtle: if you choose to take Ciri to see the emperor before going after Imrelith, she will see emperor duties as a priority and that's the path she'll go down at the end of the game. And unfortunately that's what I chose. I just didn't want to keep the emperor waiting :/. Hated the ending because it felt like she wasn't following her true calling at all and was trapped to a destiny forced on her.

you can't in the escape if thats what you're thinking - comes out of first person once you get into the keep and the binds are released.

Computer isn't really powerful enough tbf (not powerful enough for most of my steam library - bought them as impulse purchases in GMG sales). Bought an XBone in Christmas sales so probably should expand my library for that

naw, we ****ed over the Emperor and didn't go. Don't like him at all. So, we got the good ending in the end. I'll end up doing that with my own game, tbh. Though I have no idea if I should do Reasons of State...

Witcher 3 changed my view of gaming, now I think what's the point of playing a new game when it's not better than the Witcher 3.
I chose Triss, coz I can't handle a woman like Yennefer; she's too strong for me (as in character), (sigh) we couldn't choose Shani as an option as well as Fringilla Vigo (which may not make sense).

    My Witcher 4 version:
Geralt goes to Zerrikania, meets Saskia and her father, defeats a Golden Dragon (contract), meets with Ioverth, John Natalis and Isengrim, meets with Yarpen Zigren, meets the Bloody Baron (who moves out of crow's perch and into Zerrikania with his wife who is well), (having quests with them), meet Regis once again (portal to the vampire world opens in Zerrikania, Unseen Elder (from Toussaint appears)), Geralt enters the world and finds out how to kill a higher vampire then comes back), goes to the manticore school and kills all of the witchers. Ending: kills Avallach, Gee'ls, Detlaff and the last crone that escaped (provided you chose the ending which you didn't kill them in the main and blood&wine) all in the An elle world which would a few side quests. Same as the Witcher 3 he will need a team so has all the friends he meets above (provided that you do their quests), but only 1 lover is allowed or none. (If you chose to romance with Yennefer you go to Vengenburg (do some side quests as well), if Triss you go to Kovir (and do some side quests as well), if neither then nothing happens.
This is all because Avallach captures Ciri and uses witcher mutations on her in the school of the Manticore (as they are specialised with potions), Geralt arrives and is too late so Avallach teleports him and Ciri to the An elle world. Geralt with his friends arrive at the An elle world where he sees Avallach's allies: Gee'ls, the last of the crone and Detlaff (who is angry that a Geralt entered into his homeland which is a crime that is punishable by death).
Am I the only one thinking that in this battle the bloody baron will be op in this fight.

Feel free to question about this.
