    Hi,

I started sixth form in september but I went to school in a different town so I don't know anyone where I live. I thought I'd meet people at sixth form but unfortunately I'm having to do a BTEC so instead of having 4 classes of people to interact with, I only have 1 class of 20. I speak to and consider 2 people in that class my friends but we don't talk outside of college because they're both very religious and live in strict families so they don't really go out and socialise etc. I've tried to join enrichment groups but they all clash with my course!

How do you make friends irl? I have pretty much no friends so I can't really network and stuff, since I know that's the best way to make friends. I have a boyfriend who is really popular but he never invites me out. When we first got together 5 years ago his friends asked me to go out with them but I never got round to it, mainly due to anxiety. I regret it a lot now and I wish I could turn back time, but s**t happens!

How do you make friends in real life??

Bit cliche but clubs and school teams? Also do you have a job? Like at a pub or something then you could talk to people who work wih you on your shift

Just ask your boyfriend if you can join him and his friends when they meet up? and explain why maybe?
Also clubs and activities, best way to find people as they'll have similair interests to you

If you like a specific type of film (HP, Disney, Saw etc), why not see if anyone else at your college does, and host a mini-movie night with homemade snacks. Invite the BF and get him to help you with organisation etc. All you need is a living room, a TV and a bit of space.

I don't really have any lunch breaks, and the one I do have, we just sit alone together and they always want to study etc. I've seen them say hi to a few of their school friends but they don't really hang out.
