    Explain why the magnitude of the magnetic flux through the coil varies as the coil rotates.
    Please could someone explain this to me.

    I can't see a picture of either your coil or your magnetic field but I imagine it's that the orientation of the coil with respect to the field changes and therefore the flux (or flux linkage) changes.

    Picture the flux linkage as the number of magnetic field lines cutting through the coil. As the coil rotates this must change.

    That's the best I can do without a diagram, sorry!
