    I’m in school the now and im predicted to get all d and c in my gcse. My career advisor has said I should consider applying for the army. This is fine with me as I’ve always wanted to be an army officer but you need a levelcan you do a levels within the milliarty

    As I understand it, there are different requirements to being an officer than there are for regular soldier when it comes to qualifications.

    You would be able to work and get some extra qualifications when serving, but these would take time and you wouldn't be guaranteed that getting them means you can change roles.

    Additionally, not having strong GCSEs would limit what roles you could apply for initially. You'd potentially be left in a role that you don't enjoy for a number of years until you have the time to do the extra qualifications you'd need.

    And even then, the A levels are only the minimum requirement; average age for entry as an army officer is ~25 years old and most have degrees. 'Only' having A levels wouldn't put you in a competitive position.
