I’m not going to the uni but coming to glasgow in a next week and the city is known for it’s violence and crime, I was wondering if it’s safe for an english southerner to go out to glasgow city centre for a night out. I’ve once it’s dark in glasgow the city centre is dangerous and locals who hear english accents can get aggressive and nasty??

I think it is. Unless you plan to stand in the middle of George square singing all scots are ******* you will be fine.

Glasgow city centre is as safe as any city in the UK. Just don't go cutting about Easterhouse wearing an old firm top
