Hello,

I'm wondering if I can have some info on what finance is avalible for students wishing to start Adult Nursing degree in September 2018. I've tried having a look myself on the internet but it's a bit confusing. I'm just getting worried that I won't be able to afford uni as I have a mortgage and other commitments to pay and I wont have a job when I start Uni.
Kind regards, Helen
Hi there i was wondering if this year student Finance will be annoucing more funding for second degree students for paramedic science like all te other health courses, as this is no longer funded by ambulance services and hasnt been for some time now.

Anyone studying or applying for nursing/midwifery and is a single mum? I have a few question like how do you manage uni work, placement and being a mum? Also how are you managing financially? I am applying for midwifery 2018 intake.
Hi Helen

If you're going to start an undergraduate Nursing degree in September, these are now fully funded through student loans. Unfortunately I cant tell you exactly what you would get through this thread, but there is a very useful forum tomorrow entitled 'SFE Funding for NHS Courses' -

and they should definitely be able to point you in the right direction.

Thank you for contacting us.
Hi Amylia

At the moment, those are the current arrangements and NHS Bursaries and/ or tuition fee awards are available for medical students who reach their 5th year of study in 2018/19. However we are unable to say what NHS funding will be available after August 2019 as we can only say with certainty what will be in place for around one academic year in advance. No decisions have been made as to whether NHS funding will be available in 2023/24 and will not be for some time.

I am very sorry not to be able to answer your question but I would like to wish you well with your medical course.
Kind regards

Kim
Hi, thank you for your question. Unfortunately we are unable to answer it on this thread as you would need someone from SFE to answer this particular query.

Hi, unfortunately we can only answer direct queries about NHS Funding for healthcare courses on this particular forum.

However as well as student loans from SFE we at the NHS Business Services Authority administer additional financial support for healthcare students. You might want to visit our website for further information about our Learning Support Fund -

Thanks and good luck with your course.
