Mine weren't, but I put zero effort into my mocks and just sat there having a sleep.

I went up by about a grade per subject from my mocks to exams.

Hope this helped! Good luck.

I went up a grade. They do give you a good idea what to expect and also what areas you need to do more work on.

I actually did worse in my real GCSEs than mocks, so it could go either way

Mocks are a good indicator of what you do and don't know properly, and also give you a good idea of exam technique and the specific timings for the entire paper aswell as the individual questions.
They say that usually it's about 1 mark per minute of the exam.
I've found mock exams really helpful and usually use past papers and practice questions to revise.
Mocks are only useful if you actually put the effort into revising for them though. They are not true reflections of your ability if you do nothing throughout the entire course.
