All good about being super confident about one's body but come on... there are some boundaries! Talk to him about this, tell him you feel uncomfortable, if he could just... not do it. Or at least not at all times.

If its just you two in the flat or whatever - and you don't know each other well - and if you are that upset by it, tell him. He might be from a family of nudists / very confident people and not think anything of it. Even compromise and say well if you're here alone, I don't mind - but can you not when I'm home? you could even make a light joke of it if you are nervous and be like "Oh is it washing day again mate? Better get you some pjs for christmas!" if you wanted to hint - but honestly being direct is prob the best way to deal with it.

Nudity is not always a sexual thing... and Brits are pretty prudish with stuff like that, and different nationalities and cultures aren't afraid of it - like nordic countries with their naked spa thing, everyone goes in naked, doesn't care, - but if you have specific religious or cultural / own nervousness around it, speak to him - you're not attacking him as a person, but something he's choosing to do is negatively impacting on your life, and you'd like a compromise on it.

That's awful. Your reaction is absolutely normal. I don't see another way of saying this just as it is. Ask him to wear his pants in rooms that you share.

How about you confront him instead of groaning here?

I'd be concerned if he sits on chairs or sofas with nothing on and without a towel to sit on. Or when visitors came if he was not dressed. Maybe if he gets more colds though they are viruses usually.

    Hello,

So I have this American housemate, he seems like an alright guy. BUT I have an issue with the fact he walks around completely naked sometimes. Like he will actually walk into the kitchen without any underwear on, and cook etc.

I personally find it very uncomfortable, and a bit disrespectful the fact he will casually walk around without any underwear whatsoever.

Am I wrong for feeling like this?
How do I confront the issue?
I don’t think you’re wrong for feeling this way. I get that it’s inappropriate. But I don’t support confronting him about it....it’s his flat too and he should be alllowed to do what he wants in it. I’ve shared living spaces with people for a long time, and I can honestly say that you can’t just go and assume that people should adopt your way of life

Are you male or female. If female, call the police. If male, tell him to keep his lit on in public areas.
