    Hey guys,

I was wondering, if a publication made a specific point with a citation next to this which credits another author and I wanted to paraphrase this for my dissertation, who would I credit? Would it be the author of the particular publication or the one who was credited from the bibliography?

I would greatly appreciate it, if I could get some help with this.

Best solution; grab a copy of the cited work, and cite the original author. This should be easy with the amount of online journals and ebooks now available. If you really can't do this, you'd have to cite the secondary author.
“Yanny” or “Laurel”
