Why is a grade 6 (isn't that an 11 year old?) even dating?

    Grades?

translate that so your average UK person can easily decipher the ages

So I looked this up, Grade 6 is average age 11, and Grade 10 is average age 15 (High school sophomore). This leaves a 4 year age gap. I personally would not be comfortable seeing this match really at your age, but it really is down to you. The reason being is that at 11, you will generally still be premature, whereas (I am not sure about laws in your state), your boyfriend would be almost of-age (In England, 16 is legal age for sexual consent/activity), I would be worried of statutory rape accusations or concerns from others if anything happens between you two and others find out. There are other concerns as well, but I would say this is the biggest. Just be careful, and talk to someone you trust if it ever becomes uncomfortable.
Wish you and your boyfriend the best though!
