# Physics help watch

1. I’m a complete beginner with Physics and really can’t wrap my head around it so I’ve been struggling with a few questions for my assignment. If anyone is able to offer any help on any of these and explain how you get the answer I would really appreciate it
First question:
A firework is launched with vertical velocity 32ms-1 and horizontal velocity 9ms-1
What is the resultant velocity?
What is the angle at which it is launched?
What is the new vertical velocity if the resultant doubles and the angle remains the same
Second question:
Calculate the resistance of a 1km length, 1mm diameter wire made from:
a) Constantan (p=4.9 x 10-7 m)
b) Copper (p=1.7 x 10-8 m)
State which material is better suited for being used to make resistors and justify your answer

Resultant velocity can be found using Pythagoras. The angle can be found using trigonometry.

The new vertical velocity can be found by resolving the new resultant force.

Are u familiar with the formula p=(RA)/L for the resistivity of wire. If so u can rearrange formula for R and plug in your values.

The better material for resistor will be the one with higher resistance as the point of the resistor is to resist.

Can u let me know what u have tried and where specifically u are going wrong so i can better help u.
