    I'm gonna register as a private candidate for the chosen subjects; Mathematics Physics and Chemistry. Would Universities like Oxford and Cambridge mind if I haven't done IGCSE, even if I get-A*A*A* for A-Level?

    have you taken these subjects at GCSE at all?

    I took chemistry and maths at a level as a school leaver. I got BB for science and C for maths and struggled.

    I'm doing maths again now and if you've not completed the GCSE to a high grade you will struggle. I resat GCSE maths and got A* and still found some of the concepts at a level hard.
    gcses only take a year. consider taking them first.
