Hi, I’m home educated and have been since year seven.
Admittedly, I have not been working as hard as I should be for the past five years due to some home circumstances and now I’m panicking quite a bit.
I am prepared to complete my GCSEs this summer but I have a problem, I’m only doing five subjects; English language, Maths, Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology. I am predicted to get 6's (B's) in all of them apart from psychology which is predicted 7/8 (A/A*).
Five GCSEs are the minimum for the sixth form I want to go to but I was worried that I may not get accepted into any good universities. I want to study linguistics (preferably at Newcastle university) eventually so I’m wondering if I’d be accepted if I had good A levels but few GCSEs...

Gcses don't really count when youre applying for uni, well obviously it depends on the course but from my and my friends' point of view they are irrelevant. They are most useful for employers and of course getting into 6th form
