    The question says
'How does Douglass use language to present the cruelty of Mr Severe?"

However it doesnt ask how it affects the reader(like how it engages or entertains the reader etc) so do i have to include it or not? From my knowledge, question 3 is all about how the language impacts the reader but since this particular one doesnt state me to do otherwise im confused as to whether i should
Sorrry for bothering anyone! And thank you xxx

Not sure as I'm pretty sure I don't do the same exam board as you and I definitely don't do that book, but I think maybe you should, it'll only gain you marks
Maybe just a passing reference would be okay but it would help you get through your point.
