We have to do a devised piece soon... currently we need to look up a 'decade' and do some indepth research to hopefully find an idea to explore.

Theres only four of us, 3 boys, 1 girl so it needs to fit around this.
I really dont want it to be 'basic'...
    Thanks!

    Hi Mollie
I did my devised piece last year in year 12 (I'm on edexcel so I'm not sure if it's the same board as you) but what I found is that your piece develops a lot even in the last few days so don't worry about it being basic at first. If you have three boys and one girl (assuming the boys don't want to play girls for parts of it) I would say you could look into issues in the 80s, becuase a lot of earlier eras would be conservative compared to then. You could be a family who were affected by issues, or you could work in an area? Depending on how dark you are willing to go you could look into the rise of STIs and prostitution, or something like that? Or you could look into how society changed views on women, sexuality, etc.?
I hope this helped, good luck!
