Basically, the fees the housing companies are asking for + the contracts my other flat mates want (july / august) the payments up front for a student house would be too much for me. So I am thinking of just staying in uni halls, but I don't want to be put with first years, as I already resat year 12 so I am theoretically 2 years older than them.

My other option is to get a room in a houseshare.

What should I do? I'm studying at Newcastle

Ask Newcastle's accomodation office. Some universities have parts of their halls set aside for 2nd and 3rd years, although more often they are internationals.

    Eg. This doesn't say "all"
