I have almost like a playlist in my head of all my embarrassing/cringey/awkward moments and things I've done or said that I regret or lies that I've told. Pretty much every day I'll think of one and then because I connect that moment to my other embarrassing moments, they all replay after each one another. This has been going on for years and I really wish I could forget these things or at least not think of them every day.
Does anyone else experience this or know how to train my mind to not do it?
Usually happens when I'm in my own thoughts but I obviously can't keep busy every minute of the day.

Do stuff, keep yourself busy.
When alone with your thoughts and feel sad, just smile. Literally smile. You’ll feel happier.

I'm terrible with this!! I've just got to laugh at myself or maybe tell my friends what happened so I can see it in a more lighthearted way when we're all laughing

Just breathe. Just say to yourself "it's just a thought, it has no power over me". Visualise it floating out of you as you breathe out. And know you're not alone! Random silly little thoughts like that are natural and a normal part of being human.
Have you ever heard of mindfulness? Practising mindfulness (via an app like Headspace, which I use and love) can help you have a better relationship with thoughts like that and will help you remove their power to hurt you.

Reflect on these incidents and think on how to improve yourself, although I think you're perfect already <3 [I'm single]
