I am a female virgin who grew up in a very christian household, but I have decided I am agnostic. And I am dating this really sweet guy who I trust a lot and I want my first time to be with. But I am terrified of the actual act because of how I was raised. So I have a few questions and welcome advice from anyone. I am also worried because he is experienced.

First, I have yet to break my hymen, how badly is it going to hurt?

Second, how do I stop myself from freaking out because of my old religion?

Third, what should we use when having sex to make it more comfortable?

Don’t rush into it, I know you said your ready but be sure that you want this as once you lose your virginity you won’t get it back, if he cares he will accept the fact it’s your first time and make you feel comfortable and will take it slow, it quite hurt for me but my boyfriend took it slow and asked if I was okay, maybe condoms or lube to make it comfortable?

1-For me it was painful to break the hymen, but once it was done it was ok. Feels very strange and if you aren’t having intercourse often then it can be quite uncomfortable.

Make sure you have lots of lube, take it slow, try and relax, breathe and make sure you have contraception.

    Good luck x
