    Hello,

I'd like to meet a girl i know from uni in a few weeks time. We do the same degree but the last time i saw her was in 2nd year after that i moved onto my final year whilst she started her placement. Now I have finished uni and she is completing her final year. Whilst she was on placement year we talked on facebook occasionally. I last talked to her yday and was thinking of asking her then but that convo had ended now.

In a couple of weeks when i message her is this a good way of asking:

"Hey, I'm coming to uni this week to meet some friends, wanna meet up after?"

    Thanks.

I should also add that I've never done this before.

Yeah it is a decent way. It means the two of you can decide what you want to do if she says yes.

Yup seems fine. Its subtle and chill. You don't sound too desperate, and its pretty casual.

I don't see anything bad in your message. However, it's better to ask her a bit earlier so that she could cancel her plans if she has them.

Why are you messaging her in a couple of weeks and not sooner? Do you live far from her or something?

I live around 40 minutes away from her by bus. I would message her sooner but I just don't know what days I would be free but in a couple weeks I know I'll be free for a few days.

Thanks and do you think it's okay to message her with that straightaway or in between the convo?

I think it doesn't really matter how you ask her. If she wants to meet you, she will agree no matter how you ask

Do you message her normally? If you don’t it might seem like a booty call “i’m in town and want some action” kinda message.

If you have a few weeks, it’s a good opportunity to talk to her, get to know her better, pick up on whether she’s interested etc.
