Why does this work? (Volume) watch

1. So my answer is correct because that is what’s on the mark scheme but I don’t fully understand it if anyone can go through it with me please? I.e why cube the numbers then do the division and how is that 1/4 of the volume?
Thanks
2. oh because 1.6 is the linear scale factor and since you need volume you cube it so
400 / (1.6)^3 = 97.65625
so if you round that its 100 so yh
the LSF was got by doing 8/5
