Hi everyone! I have an interview to study Adult Nursing at Edge Hill University, does anyone know what the day entails? I haven’t received any info yet but I only have 10 days to prepare so would kind of like to get a head start (thanks in advance)

    Hey Lauren,
Unfortunately I can’t really tell you much about edge hill university but I can help you with your interview.

I recently came across a Instagram page that is run by 3 student nurses. They recently did a post on interview tips and tricks I would recommend having a look at it. The advice really helped me with my interviews.
    It’s @thoughtsofastudentnurse
Sorry i couldn’t be of much help 😊

Hi Lauren, congratulations on getting an interview with us!

The main part of your day will be the interview itself. This will be your opportunity to showcase exactly why you want to study Adult Nursing at Edge Hill. Here's some tips:

-Show your passion for the course. This is what interviewers want to see the most.
-Think about any examples of things you've done to further your career goals. While this could be past experience, it could also be something like chatting to current nurses about their work, or researching what the role entails.
-Read newspapers and online news websites to understand current topics surrounding adult nursing. Demonstrate your understanding of these current events.
-Is there anything you want to know about the course, or about life as a nurse? You'll get a chance to ask these at the end of the interview, so prepare a list of things you'd like to know (if anything).

As well as the interview, you may also be offered a tour of our campus, or the chance to see more of our Health and Social Care facilities. If you have the time, I'd recommend doing this to learn more about life as a student here.

Good luck with your interview - let us know if you have any other questions!

    Alex
