    HI TSR

    (Original post by OrwellianLad)
    Hello TSR forums,

I have just applied for MSt English 1900-present at the University of Oxford and I am trying to get an idea of what my chances of getting an offer might be.

For context, I'm currently studying at the University of Essex and have gained high firsts (high 70's) in my last two essays and I am on track for a first overall. I also finished all of my modules in second year with first class grades. Other than that, from what I can tell, my references are good.

    What're my chances?
Offer rate for Oxford PG is slighly higher than UG - so, in general, most will be rejected, some accepted. Your chance of an offer is probably ~30%. Obviously the genuine statistic is somewhere in Oxford's admissions statistics.
Are you going to a festival?
