A rare spider, Hilaira nubigena, has been discovered on the Dundreggan estate, a native forest restoration site owned by conservation group Trees for Life. The spider has been rarely recorded (14 sites in Scotland), and little is known about it, but it appears to be a species of high altitude damp moorland and montane scrub (which occurs near the tree line).

The site was bought around a decade ago, and a number of rare species have previously been found there, including some insects and spiders previously unknown in Scotland or the UK.

it's great to see some people taking care of nature
