I would like to do Maths at university and wish to go into one of the careers above. Which universities would provide the best support ? brand name etc. (especially international)

For stockbroking and actuary careers the uni name doesn't to matter whatsoever, and will not help you. For IB, there are targets (Oxbridge, LSE, Imperial, Warwick) and semi-target unis (Nottingham, UCL, the rest of RG uni and others such as Bath, St Andrews). You are far more likely to get in by attending a target/semi-target.

Bare in mind, your soft skills and work experience will be crucial especially for IB, which you'd need to attend insight days and get lots of experience due to strong competition (you need to show that you're truly interested and know your ****, and that you haven't decided on it on a whim because of money).

Do you think getting a job in a bank like Santander would help, maybe one day a week ?. Also how would you show your interest to universities to study Maths/Economics/Statistics
