I took GCSEs when I was 16 gaining D, F, E and U grades, I failed them all but still managed to get into college and do a course in animal care at entry level 3 along with entry level 3 in English and maths functional skills but they are very low levels. I left after I was 17, I couldn't go on so left and for a few months I spent sorting my mental health out, I eventually did and got a job as a Christmas temp. I am now back in college doing functional skills level 1 in English and maths, I am also a dog sitter, I am now also 18. I am still really worried about my future and the area I live in doesn't have many jobs with animals or apprenticeships I can find. I need to be able to afford a car and run it eventually. My sibling is very successful, has a masters degree and good job. That will never be me. Why do they have it so easy? We come from the same place. I've always had holidays, we have cars, days out, clothes, phones and loads of other stuff so in ways we are privileged and despite not having a lot of money we have quite a lot of things. Anyway my point is I can't stop feeling like I'll always be low paid and in a crap job, how do I turn all of this around and think more positively? It's also known that the lower the qualifications the more likely you are to be unemployed, is this what my life is heading for? Misery while my sibling has the best life. I don't think I'll ever be successful.

Take it one thing at a time. Break the big picture down and it'll seem more manageable.
