I am studying a biological sciences degree soon and wondered if student loans would fund a paramedical science degree after.
I don't want to just go into a paramedical science degree first thing because I want more open doors to career options.

    Hi fowlere,

We would be unable to advise if you would be funded for a paramedical science course in the future after you initial degree .There are a number of factors as to whether students are currently funded and this could be subject to change each academic year.

Students who are currently studying Paramedic courses may be eligible to receive funding from the Ambulance Service Trust. Students who receive this funding may also be eligible for funding from Student Finance England. However, each Ambulance Trust has discretion over the funding they award and this would determine the level of funding available from Student Finance.

Paramedic Science courses are current only classed as an exception if the student is entitled to funding from the Ambulance Service Trust, if they are not eligible for this they can apply to us for full support but this will be subject to equal level qualification (ELQ) rules.

    Thanks

    Louise
