How do you guys use revision notes or mindmaps after you’ve created them? Do you simply re read them multiple times then try practice Qs?

I use my revision notes to make flash cards or quizzes which I get my parents to test me on. With the mind maps, I stuck them all over the walls and cupboards etc. so as I did things like cooking dinner, brushing my teeth, putting my shoes on etc. I would be reading them. Occasionally my dad would pick something out and ask me a question on it.
