I sent my UCAS application on January 6th and received feedback at that time 1 of my 5 five choices. The only one who replied is located in England and sent the offer within 2 weeks (a conditional offer), the other 4 are in Scotland. So here are my questions:
- Do Scottish unis take more time to answer? If so, when do they usually send their offers?
- The more you wait the more you have a chance to get a negative decision?
- Are unconditional offers that common? What are my chances to get one?
I apply for a Software Engineering program by the way

Depends on the Scottish uni but some won’t give out many offers until all applications are and some are just slow.
I don’t think the longer you wait affects your offer, some unis are just a bit slower than others and other factors can affect it too.
Unconditional offers can be common but it does depend on which qualifications you have and are doing. If the entrance requirements are for the qualifications you’re currently working on then you will get a conditional offer but if you already have those qualifications then you might get an unconditional.
