What degrees have specific A Level subject requirements watch

    • Thread Starter

I know that science based subjects, for example medicine, require biology and chemistry. But I’ve never heard of anyone talk about other degrees which require A Levels in certain subjects. Is it because not many degrees require specific A Levels? What other courses require A Levels??

Humanities subjects sometimes don't require a specific A level. STEM subjects require a science or maths depending on which degree. Your A levels should be similar to what you want to do at uni. For example Law doesn't require a specific A level but it would be best if you had done a writing based subject such as English or history. Just check on the universities websites, you'll get all the information.

Here is a table of Oxford's entrance requirements.

Apart from Law, every single subject has at least one 'helpful' subject that will make your application more competitive than someone who didn't take that subject (as long as you do well in it, of course)
