Hi, I'm in a very fortunate position, after reapplying to vet school for missing the grades as I got A*BB, and I have now received offers from 3/3 places of Surrey, RVC and Liverpool. All my offers require me to resit and get AA in Biology and Chemistry.

I was wondering if anyone knows what universities are the most lenient if I resat and only achieved one A and a B ect... Obviously I am aiming for higher, but I'm unsure of what to put as my firm and insurance when all the grade requirements are the same (if that makes any sense haha). I'd be more than happy to go to any vet school.

Also, I am leaning towards RVC at the minute, but what do people think about the fact you're just with vets, as I've heard it is a major negative. However, I don't think this would be that big of an issue for me as I love the rest of the university and it may be nice to be with people with similar interests and work ethic.

    Thanks! Sorry if it's confusing

    Congrats on getting three offers!

RVC let me in with AAB, and a friend got into Surrey with the same. I haven't heard of Edinburgh being lenient but I also haven't heard of them being strict about it; I think I just don't know enough people who go there I also absolutely cannot guarantee that the other two would let you in with lower grades than the requirement; it's completely up to them and will depend how well other applicants have done.

People always use that as a negative for the RVC, but being a part of the University of London it's really easy to make friends outside of the vetty sphere if that's important to you. You're welcome to join any societies there, plus even the RVC sports teams often have socials with sports teams from other universities. I personally don't see the problem (plus you'll meet biovets, nurses and people on other courses ) but you don't have to be trapped in an RVC bubble if you don't want to
