I am currently applying for an MSt degree at Oxford and have sent in my application already. However, I recently found out that one of my papers was accepted to an undergraduate English conference, and that I will have the opportunity to present my paper on a panel this March.

Should I email Oxford to inform them of this news? If so, how? Should I email the admissions office? Ahh help!

They are applying for a postgraduate degree, so GCSEs aren't that relevant...

    Which course are *you* considering?

Your GCSEs are fine. And MAT (Oxford) or STEP (Cambridge) will be more important.

And you understand what an average is? There are current Oxbridge students with GCSEs below, and above that average. Also correlation =/= causation...

Anyway, this is taking the OP's thread off-topic. There are "are my grades good enough" threads in the Oxford and Cambridge forums - it would be best if you asked in there if you still need to.
