Hi, I am applying for my fourth year of student finance. Last year, my parents seperated and I submitted a change in circumstances application (which was successful). I have just started the application for the next academic year and it is asking me for both my parents' details. Is this normal? I am still in contact with them both but I only live with my Mum now.

    Hi StudyBud,

If your parents are separated and you now only live with your Mum then you would only be required to provide your Mums income information.
You would indicate that it's your Mum that you have most contact with just for the purposes of Student Finance .
We would require your Mum to provide evidence of her marital status and we can assess on her income only.

    Thanks

    Louise
