    Thanks. So it's one firm producing all the goods(the more skilled workers).. and not to do with division of labour at all. Got it.

    Yep, and this is the biggest advantage of outsourcing I guess. The bigger competition, the more chances to hire more qualified workers. I know my company hires web developers from Europe also with purpose to save money, as the salary difference in different countries is rather significant.
