Hi, Im just enquiring about the declaration you have to sign at the end of the application to send off. I've read the terms and conditions but its all a little bit confusing. One part mentions about being over 18 and applying and one part saying being under 18. I'm not 18 yet, but can I still sign this contract and send it off or do I need to wait until I am 18?

Can you cut and paste both declarations please and then I will tell you.

If theres one for under 18as, then it may require a parental signature as well. Post it and I will tell you or link the form.

    Hi RachelPantrey,

Students under the age of 18 can apply for student finance, and subject to the meeting of other eligibility criteria, can receive full student support.

You can sign the declaration and we will send you another one once you turn 18 years.

As if you enter into one or more loan agreements with SLC before you reach 18 years old, you will be asked to ratify the agreement(s) once you turn 18. Ratification means to formally declare that you entered into the loan agreement.

    Thanks Rona
