I've been approached for an initial internship with a view to a full-time entry level role in Fixed Income Research at an asset management firm (~$400bn-$500bn AUM). I didn't apply for this role, I was approached after essentially a recommendation. Anyway, I have a morning of interviews coming up but have next to no idea about what could come up, nor do I know that much about Fixed Income. I know how to price a bond, yields, standard accounting and valuation stuff, and I know some of what is going on with yields and spreads atm/can check easy but otherwise I'm unsure and apprehensive.
Anyone have any tips/ideas/point me in the right direction?
Edit: It mainly deals in IG, HY and emerging markets
...Should I go back to school?
