So if a white person walks in and the staff say it looks like someone who didn't pay the day before, is that racist? Should they just put their suspicions aside and just not do their job in checking it's not them because the two customers were black?

No one mentioned skin colour anywhere apart from the two customers.

Admittedly enough the police officer handled it horribly but to fire the employees and close down the store is a step too far. If no one mentions skin colour, it's playing the race card.

Also squealing like that is far too ott.
You don't have to mention race to be racist.
    Ever heard of unconscious bias?
The only black women in the store. The only women accused of stealing from the night before.
No they didn't check to see the security cameras.
They just called the police and banned them from the franchise.
Forced them to pay for their meal and the loss from yesterday.
They were also escorted out by the police.
    No they didn't CHECK.
The employee just said "think that's them" - manager called the police and now they are both fired, the manager got his bosses license revoked and well, Applebee's is in trouble now.

Why are people acting like black and white people are treated in society as equal in America of all places.
How could you not see racial profiling when they were the only women accused.
Only black women in the store.
Forced to leave the store and pay the bill from yesterday (that they allegedly stole) and leave their meal prematurely but pay for that one too.
    Be escorted out by police.
Have a condescending officer not listen to you when you have proof that you haven't been at the store the day before.
Now you are getting angry. There is no need. It should be simple to explain how identifying someone as skinny and wearing make-up is racial profiling, if it is.

How does them being the only women accused confirm it as it racial profiling? If, first thing in the morning, I can see the black man who stole from me yesterday do I have to go through a charade of accusing other people in order not to be accused of racially profiling him?

What is the relevance of how many black people were in the shop? Perhaps you could also explain why white suspects should have been considered when it must have been obvious that the perpetrators were black?

Could you make the font slightly bigger? My eyes aren't what they used to be.
No I just did that for the ignorant-deux.
They aren't getting it and I will not explain anymore to them.

    JFC.

Asking the only black customers if they stole from yesterday because another black person did the other day is discriminative. This isn't what happened though.

Saying the only black customers stole from yesterday and forcing them to pay for the loss, leave their food and pay prematurely, escort them from the store by police and have them banned is what happened which is racist, against the law and in my opinion should be punishable by death because how could people be so cruel to another law-abiding citizen based on their skin colour. And yes, being the only black customers of the store is relevant.

1.The only black women in the store.
2.The only women accused of stealing from the night before.
    3. No they didn't check to see the security cameras.
    4. They just called the police and banned them from the franchise.
    5. Forced them to pay for their meal and the loss from yesterday.
    6. They were also escorted out by the police.
    No they didn't CHECK.
The employee just said "think that's them" - manager called the police and now they are both fired, the manager got his bosses license revoked and well, Applebee's is in trouble now.
    1. Proof?
    2. Because they were the only ones who looked like the people who didn't pay?
    3. Maybe they did check the cameras which in their eyes confirmed their suspicions.
    4. Maybe they were disruptive before they started recording and making a scene in the restaurant or refusing to listen.
    5. Where does it say they had to pay for yesterday's meal? Ok, maybe they shouldn't have to pay for that meal if they were being asked to leave but it doesn't warranting sacking everyone/closing down the store/revoking licenses.

You and I can only see what was filmed and not what happened before. And I'll say it again, at no point in the video did anyone apart from the two women mention their race. You seem to have taken that side.

And at the end of the day, now some staff members in the store will struggle to get a job even as a server as a result of something not even that big of a deal. Think who's actually come out worse from this. They would have got into trouble if they hadn't of approached them and asked if they'd left without paying, what else are they supposed to do?

Giving a simple explanation in answer to the question is often more effective than shouting the same irrelevant nonsense in an ever-increasing volume.

Asking the only black customers if they stole from yesterday because another black person did the other day is discriminative. Not if they recognise them, or think they do.This isn't what happened though. Why do you mention it then? You seem very confused.

Saying the only black customers stole from yesterday and forcing them to pay for the loss, leave their food and pay prematurely, escort them from the store by police and have them banned is what happened which is racist, Why, If they recognise them as the perpetrators? against the law and in my opinion should be punishable by death Hmm because how could people be so cruel to another law-abiding citizen based on their skin colour. How indeed? But we haven't seen any evidence that they did. All we see is an unfounded accusation oif racism. And yes, being the only black customers of the store is relevant. How?

    1. They were not the people from yesterday.
They have proof they weren't even at the area (start following the case because it is heating up).
They are potentially suing and have a top lawyer behind them since it is such an "easy" win.
    2. Applebee's conducted their own investigation. Found that the store itself was racist, removed the license and no longer franchise that chain anymore.
    3. They did not check the cameras at all. Check Applebee's facebook page + twitter.
"The acts committed were unlawful, unjust..."
    "We are sorry for any..."

They apologised for racism because the acts were racist.

Finally. (saying it loud for the people in the back)
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MENTION RACE FOR IT TO BECOME RACE-RELATED.

    Blocked.

Do you have to mention race to be a racist?

    Examine this:

So if I accuse a black person of stealing, I must also accuse a white person of stealing at the same time, or else I am racially profiling?

There needs to be a way of distinguishing between deliberate profiling and plain coincidence. If you don't have enough evidence to distinguish, then you cannot just assume there was profiling.

Now people have lost their jobs.

If you are accused of something you didnt do you could just say "It certainly wasnt me, you can check the footage and call the police if you want but I assure you that it was not me" rather than being uncivil and going "THATS RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The servers might have been racist but there is no real evidence, they were probably just mistaken and yet the people acted in a poor manner.

How dare you allow yourself to come across that idiotic.
If only an idiot could ask why it is racist to identify someone as wearing make-up and skinny, then I must be an idiot. I still do not have any idea why anyone would think that. Unfortunately, you have not tried to explain it to me and neither has anyone else.

They weren't accused either. Your next sentence contradicts this.
They were told they were the people from last night who stole. That is an accusation.
    Escorted out by police
Forced to pay the loss from yesterday, leave their meal and pay for it.
See the bold comment. You keep repeating this chain of events but still have not explained the racism claim.

Racial profile of a black person : Ghetto, AA, Angry, Hostile (Ratchet), Nappy Haired, Males tend to run away from their kids, Thieves, Guns, Prison.

Let's not pretend that a black person who walks into a high-end store will not be profiled.
    It is unfortunate.
    It is a reality!
Even Kanye West who makes millions was asked where he got the money from.
Stormzy had the police called on him when he was going to his OWN house.

Unfortunately, yesterday, a black women did steal from the store the other day. She dined and dashed so to say.
But the next day, two women - unrelated to yesterdays events were forced to leave the store, pay for their food prematurely, pay for the loss yesterday (which made the women start crying), had an officer be very condescending, get escorted from the store by police and get banned from premises.

The first thing I notice about someone is their skin color. I always will. I'm not colorblind. There are negative connotations with every color.
Why should I attempt to discuss race in a white dominated circle if I'm not going to get anywhere. Because obviously race has nothing to do with how far you get in life or how you are approached by others. The now-fired employees of the store called the police without speaking to the two women. They were in shock when the police officer came. The start of the video was her just saying "Wow. No. I haven't been here" (In AAVE). Later the police officer dismisses that. Tells them to pay.
    This video was shared online.
The company did their own investigation.
They fired their own employees. Willingly made a loss by closing their own franchise and revoking a license.

And you want to tell me that the accusation had nothing to do with racism?

Another diatribe, but no logic and little or no relevance to this case and my questions..

Let me ask you two questions, and then repeat one.

First of all, if a white waitress sees a group of black people eat and run, then believes she sees them in the same place the very next day what must she do if she is not to be accused of racism? Must she ignore them? Or is she allowed to identify them to the police and accuse them?

Next, where in your sentence above does it mention 'skinny' and 'wearing make-up'?

Now the repeat. How are they terms that amount to racial profiling.
