    Hi,
I am doing A-levels; English literature, English language and Media Studies. I am on my last year and have applied for English language through UCAS. I have already got four conditional offers and waiting for the last one.
However, I realised late that I do not want to go for that career direction but instead want to do nursing. I am 100% sure about doing nursing in University but am in a pickle because of my lack of experience in the field and unrelated A-levels.
Any advise how should I change my career direction, please? Shall I take a gap year or try to go Uni this year by any means?

You will have to get the right A levels and the work experience unfortunately. You need at least one science A level so maybe do it in your gap year? Alternatively some unis accept a level 3 in health and social care.

If you know and you are sure you don’t want to do English language at university and would prefer to do nursing, you could look into applying through clearing (it’s a possibility the course will go into clearing)-you will still need to go through the selection process. You may get accepted with your a-levels.
Otherwise you could look at paid care assistant work to gain experience & look at your other options if you need a science a-level to apply for next year or in the future.

Thanks. Your advice has really helped.

Universities in Wales (Cardiff, USW, Bangor, and Swansea) just require three A-Levels in any subject for nursing and midwifery, you don't need Science! I've gotten an interview for USW Midwifery with A Levels in Drama, Film, and Welsh Bacc. You do though, need BBB or above for all these unis, and most, if not all, will be full for September 2018 entry but it may be worth giving the universities and email to see if any of them will be entering clearing or extra. If not, they have entry for March 2019 so providing you get the grades, you could start next March. If you don't want to study in Wales though, you could always take a year out and do an access to health/nursing course? These only take a year and it will definitely give you the chance to get experience and help with your application!
