Figured people would recognise Midsomer Murders more than the name John Barnaby.

When I was a kid my Mum would watch these shows almost every night. They remind me of mind-numbingly boring evenings, and that crappy feeling when you're approaching bed time on a school night. The theme songs are almost PTSD inducing, even all these years on. If I was going to make a list of my least favourite TV shows of all time, this would literally be it. With a few of those incredibly unoriginal ITV dramas sprinkled in.

Apologies if you're a fan

Poirot on the top, Columbo comes next. Poirot has a unique charisma as Belgian, Columbo has his charateristic absence of mind to confuse the suspects and maybe a little bit himself.

A lot of love for Bosch here. Titus Welliver is fantastic, and now I only picture him, when reading the books.

However, he's still not my favourite TV detective, that honour falls to Morse. There is no competition in my eyes.

Yeah, and Sicily is also known for mafia.

Know this detective by his name without to watch an episode so far. But there was another Italian Detective, a Venetian I guess. Could it be it was Brunetti?

Can't remember to watch this. See that it has just three episodes, seems to be a trilogy.
