Rectangular matrix

Hi, I was just wondering what the definition of rectangular is for matrices (is it the same as diagonal)?

I would have just guessed that it's a matrix where the number of rows is not equal to the number of columns? so a 3x2 matrix for example

I would have thought that as well, but I can't seem to find a definition like that for it. Just want to check that I have the correct definition before learning it.

found one

A matrix for which horizontal and vertical dimensions are not the same (i.e., an m×n matrix with m!=n).
