History, English Literature, Physics, Economics, Maths for a-level? watch

    • Thread Starter

I know that 5 a-levels is hard but it is possible. A girl from my school did Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Literature and got all As. I want to major in history but we don't have the typical subjects that would compliment the history a level like sociology and rs. So, any advice?

    dont do 5

Hi, taking on 5 a levels is a big task - don't think it'll be easy and if you want the grades you can't coast through sixth form. But it's doable. A girl from my school is doing Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. You've chosen mostly facilitating subjects that'll take a lot of time but if you're willing to put in the effort you should be okay. Also about wanting to do History along the line do not worry if you don't do RS or similar because the subjects you've chosen will open lots of doors for you whichever course you end up choosing to do, and you do have History and English Lit which are great and related anyway. Also don't listen to b7621b especially since they haven't given any reasons - people will try to scare u off from doing 5. I personally do 4 and it really is doable as long as you put in the work so you need to choose what's right for yourself and if you think you're capable, go for it!
