    Hi,

Does anybody have any ideas on what to give up for lent?

I’m thinking chocolate, social media or fizzy drinks

And, can you give more than one thing up?

    Thank-you!

Although I don't drink fizzy drinks, that would be a good option

Ahh lent, I used to do this when younger with my grandma, and we'd always keep each other going and if we did have a sneaky choppy digestive (we both gave up chocolate) or Jaffa, we'd only tell each other, and no one else... can't do that anymore unfortunately, and to be honest, haven't given anything up for lent since doing it with her!

If I had to choose something, then it would definitely be chocolate! Though I eat a lot less of it nowadays than I used to! If it was something that'd be a big challenge, it'd be fizzy drinks, and pretty much unachievable, alcohol.

I'm not giving up anything/taking up anything this Lent but for quite a few years, I used to give up chocolate (including hot chocolate. Which is the only hot drink I like, so that made hanging around in coffee shops a challenge!). It was pretty difficult.

You can def give up more than one thing but a word of warning on that: whilst it's good to challenge yourself, you wanna keep things realistic too. Don't make yourself *too* miserable would be my advice

I wish you a blessed Lenten season

Maybe take up something? I'm trying to be more healthy - exercising more/eating better but am also trying to do a generous act each day :yep:

You could do Lent differently and do a random act of kindness every day instead?
